Job Summary
We’re looking for an energetic and organised Assistant Leisure & Events Manager to help bring our events and activities to life. You’ll play a key role in planning and delivering great experiences for our guests, from group bookings to themed events and everything in between.
You’ll work closely with clients, manage logistics, support staff, and make sure every event runs smoothly. If you love working with people, thrive in a lively environment, and take pride in making things happen, this could be the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities
Events & Group Coordination
* Support the full event journey from enquiry to post-event feedback
* Work with clients to understand their needs and make sure every detail is covered
* Manage group bookings including corporate events, private parties, and themed experiences
* Help create event schedules and make sure resources are used efficiently
* Oversee setup, running, and pack-down of events
* Keep an eye on the guest experience and make quick improvements when needed
* Coordinate logistics including decorations, technical requirements, and special requests
* Work with the marketing team to promote events and boost participation
* Build lasting relationships with clients and help grow our event offering
Swingyard Supervision, Staff & Operations
As part of the Swingyard team, you’ll help deliver a top-notch entertainment experience. This hands‑on role involves supporting daily operations, leading staff, and ensuring guests have a safe and enjoyable time.
* Assist with recruiting, training, and supervising staff
* Help plan rotas to keep operations running smoothly
* Support staff development through feedback and performance reviews
* Encourage a positive and motivated work environment
* Step in to help resolve issues and maintain team morale
Food & Beverage Support
* Assist in delivering quality food and drink service during events and daily operations
* Help maintain menu standards and ensure consistent quality
* Keep F&B areas clean and compliant with hygiene standards
* Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control
Customer Service
* Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional assistance
* Ensure visitors enjoy a fun, memorable experience
* Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints promptlyLook for ways to continually improve guest satisfaction
Facility & Inventory Management
* Help maintain event and leisure spaces so they’re always ready to impress
* Report maintenance or safety issues as they arise
* Support stock control and equipment tracking
Marketing & Promotions
* Get involved in promotions and engagement activities
* Contribute ideas for social media and marketing campaigns
* Help identify new partnerships and sponsorship opportunities
Skills & Qualifications
* Experience in events, hospitality, or leisure operations preferred
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills
* Great communication and people skills
* Confident working independently and taking initiative
* Customer-focused with a proactive, can‑do attitude
* Knowledge of event planning or F&B operations is a bonus
* Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when required
