The Maintenance Coordinator will have responsibility for the delivery of the site Maintenance Programme, via the management and facilitation of a team of maintenance fitters and electricians and the use of in-house maintenance programmes and CMMS (Maximo) to help deliver world class maintenance & reliability to the production systems at Saica Pack Ashbourne. This role will report directly to the Engineering Manager.
Primary Duties and Objectives:
* Plan and schedule maintenance work for the location.
* Ensure the maintenance activities are completed in order to meet expectations.
* Coach direct reports to ensure objectives are met.
* Analyse metrics to improve uptime, reliability and reduce costs.
* Maintain quality and Health & Safety data.
* Lead efforts to improve maintenance effectiveness through continuously improving preventive maintenance strategy, task lists, PM intervals, reporting content, parts inventory data, etc.
* Manage and Facilitate the Storeman to ensure all parts are ordered in timely manner and stocks are up-to-date for all equipment maintenance and overhauls.
* Manage outside contractors to ensure that work is completed to a satisfactory standard and place of work is returned to order.
Skills / Knowledge/ Experience/ Academic Requirements:
Essential:
* Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a maintenance planner/scheduler role, industrial plant experience and experience/knowledge in CMMS.
* Familiar with all aspects of Production Maintenance, Facilities, Utilities, Parts Inventory and Site Security.
* 3rd Level Qualification in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical or equivalent training.
* Trained in problem solving and teamwork skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Experience in managing a team.
* High level working knowledge of MS office packages, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
