Job Role:
Mukti Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Reporting to
Assistant Maintenance Manager & Maintenance Manager
Purpose:
To work as part of a team to execute the site preventive and reactive maintenance programmes in a safe manner complying with H&S standards.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the preventative and reactive maintenance of plant and equipment in the facilities department, compiling standard specifications /procedures for each item and monitoring all existing plant to standard specifications.
* Ensure all paperwork (PM, Sign in sheets, work permits, etc.) is completed by the engineers/contractors in line with H&S and audit specifications (BRC etc.)
* The above equipment will include but not limited to, AHU’s, chillers, compressors, CIP and pumping systems.
* The Maintenance Engineers play a key role in ensuring required H&S standards are being met and driving further improvement in standards through the correct use of PPE, permits, etc.
* Establish relationships with the customers and suppliers in pursuit of continuous improvement and on-going business development.
* Attends internal 3M meetings to help establish priorities and assign tasks.
* Solves, in conjunction with the Quality department, customer related problems/issues as needed.
* Record daily and weekly activities into the current system.
* In conjunction with approved vendors, research new processes and/or systems for maintenance/manufacture of equipment and implement new processes and systems as developed under the direction of the Engineering Manager.
* Compliance to all site Environmental training and regulations
* Compliance to all local site company policies, procedures and corporate policies.
* Act in accordance with the company’s guiding principles and adherence to the Corporate Code of Conduct.
Person Specification
* Previous maintenance experience or mechanical/electrical apprenticeship essential.
* Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment would be an advantage with FMCG experience highly desirable..
* Good knowledge of all facilities systems including Boiler, Compressed Air, HVAC, Chilled Water, Water Treatment, and general electrical and mechanical services
* Ability to read electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic schematic diagrams.
* Previous experience working on technically challenging applications would be an advantage.
