Key job responsibilitiesPerform design and equipment submittal review for Data Centers in your region.Interface with internal and external data center design engineering team, server hardware team, environmental health and safety team, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions, and act as a technical subject matter expert for your discipline.Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover. Be detail and data‑oriented with familiarity with design/construction processes.Have experience managing engineering projects and engineering consultants. Build trust and relationships with different stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Commissioning, Construction and Design).A day in the lifeEach day you will interact with different teams responsible for various aspects of the data centers. You will mentor and oversee the work of junior engineers in your discipline. You will have the opportunity to work on projects locally and globally, with up to 25% travel.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related fieldExperience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities, including but not limited to data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilitiesExperience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilitiesPreferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer LicenseExperience with building codes and regulations for your regionExperience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass productionExperience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documentsAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
