SUMMARY OF ROLE
The Site Manager is responsible for all day-to-day site management duties, including organising and coordinating works on site, completion of safety administration, maintenance of records and liaising with management throughout the project. They will work closely with the Commercial Department and all support functions, including Purchasing, Quality and EHS to deliver safe and successful projects. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include but are not limited to:
Manage on-site activities, ensuring works are carried out safely, to a high standard, on time, and within budget
Manage EHS and Quality responsibilities on site, implementing company policies and ensuring adherence to same across the site
Manage site security, and accurate sign-in and out of all personnel
Maintain a presentable and safe site, addressing any safety concerns
Coordinate with the Commercial department to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials / plant / labour to site
Maintain the site diary, implementing daily and weekly programmes
Review programme and plan works to ensure timely delivery of same
Monitor construction schedules and identify potential delays or risks early
Coordinate daily whiteboard meetings with Subcontractors and monitor progression of agreed actions, ensuring they work effectively and efficiently
Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
Liaise with Design Team where appropriate
Track and report on agreed key matrices to the entire site team
Assist the Project Manager in collating and preparing documentation and technical information required for submission to building control authorities and warranty providers, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Assist the Project Manager in identifying any project changes which may have financial implications
Maintain accurate daily record keeping
Provide regular updates to Project Manager / Contracts Manager / Construction Director
Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks
Ensure completion of snagging and handover processes to the client or end user
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, direct labour, and suppliers
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
5+ years’ relevant experience in residential projects is essential
Experience in timber frame is preferable
Proven track record of delivering high quality construction projects with emphasis on safe and efficient construction
Knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and EHS standards
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Highly organised with the ability to work to tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Document Management System (Please note the company uses Procore software and training will be provided)
Full clean driving licence
