Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated professional to support adults with intellectual disabilities in a community-based setting. This role involves assisting individuals with independent living skills and integration into the community.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable adults or those with intellectual disabilities, and possess a strong understanding of HIQA regulations and National Standard policies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support adults with intellectual disabilities in daily activities
* Assist with independent living skills, such as personal care and household management
* Help individuals integrate into their communities through social activities and outings
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and any issues that arise
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* FETAC level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent qualification
* At least one year's experience working with vulnerable adults or those with intellectual disabilities
* A working knowledge of HIQA regulations and National Standard policies
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written communication
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office and relevant software applications
