Job Description:
The Operational Excellence Design Director will play a key role in driving operational excellence across the organization. This includes establishing and owning the global Compass OpEx maturity model, designing and implementing OpEx elements, tools, and standards, and developing capability building tracks and training programs.
This individual will be responsible for establishing and owning the global Compass OpEx maturity model in partnership with Site OpEx teams to support SQCDP goals. They will design, test, sustain, and continuously improve OpEx elements, tools, and standards through feedback loops with sites and the Compass site deployment team.
Additionally, they will develop and implement capability building tracks and training programs to upskill the organization on Operational Excellence. The individual will also establish mechanisms and digital/AI tools to enable sites and functions to access tools, standards, playbooks, and training resources.
They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of OpEx practices across the network. The individual will monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of OpEx initiatives and drive continuous improvement. Furthermore, they will support change management and communication efforts to drive adoption of OpEx practices.
As a subject matter expert in Operational Excellence methodologies, this individual will provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 8 years of experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, or related roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
* Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies; Black Belt preferred.
* Proven ability to design and implement operational excellence frameworks and tools in a complex, multi-site organization.
* Experience in developing and delivering training programs and capability building initiatives.
* Adept at integrating Digital and AI technologies into operational excellence frameworks; able to leverage advanced analytics, automation, and intelligent systems to enhance maturity model design, deployment, and continuous improvement.
