As a Citizen Developer, you'll play a key role in the Change & Innovation team by developing, customising, and maintaining applications that drive business transformation. This role blends business analysis with technical development, allowing you to work with cross-functional teams to create user-friendly applications that improve efficiency, productivity, and customer experience.
Your Role:
Reporting to the
Change & Innovation Team Manager – Customer Solutions
, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, business analysts, and IT teams to develop solutions that address business challenges. This role is pivotal in driving efficiency and innovation through the use of low-code/no-code platforms such as Genesys, Hyperscience and Usher. The role will primarily be in support of our customer support teams across group and individual pension and protection products and processes. The goal is to deliver innovative solutions driving optimisations, automations and improved customer and employee experience.
In this role, you will:
* Work with business stakeholders, business analysts, and IT teams to understand business problems and document existing business processes.
* Develop and deploy applications using low-code/no-code platforms to meet business needs and improve user experience.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and customize applications, ensuring they align with business objectives.
* Create and maintain application documentation, including user guides and technical specifications.
* Provide ongoing support to users, addressing any issues or feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
* Stay up to date with the latest trends in low-code/no-code development, incorporating innovative solutions into the business.
* Assist in process automation initiatives, leveraging technology to drive improvements in business operations.
* Communicate project status, challenges, and outcomes effectively to stakeholders and team members.
What We're Looking For:
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
* Some experience or a strong interest in IT infrastructure and technology
* Familiarity with low code solutions, data analysis & basic scripting would be an advantage but not essential.
* A technical mindset with Motivation to learn new tools and platforms, especially low-code or no-code development environments.
* Strong understanding of business workflows, with the ability to understand requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to find the best Technology solutions.
* Knowledge of emerging technologies and their potential impact on business operations.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
* A detail-oriented approach and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
