The Senior Planning Manager will be responsible for managing the planning function within the manufacturing plant and mentoring and coaching employees. Key Responsibilities: Lead the SI&OP process for our Client's manufacturing site Lead supply chain and planning activities, in addition to managing the sites inventory goals. Lead the planning team to establish the committed build plan for a defined set of products and ensure that a detailed production plan is agreed with production to meet the committed build plan Previous experience of people management and demonstrated ability in people motivation, organizing and team building is essential. Drives a Lean culture within the Team. Improve and sustain standard work within the team Achieve the company's targets in key service areas such as back orders, fill rates, distribution, inventory reduction, inventory turns, schedule adherence and cycle time Analysis & maintenance of all business planning related processes and reporting tools. Site lead for all Inter Company supplied subassemblies. Support the Materials Director in the preparation of ad hoc summary analysis reports & presentations. Monitor Customer Demand Patterns and use to inform inventory target setting. Ensuring effective inventory management & control in line with company targets. Support all R&D activities, new product introductions, product recertification and product rationalisation initiatives. Continually examine & demonstrate process improvements & minimize cycle times. Create and manage department financial budgets and set aggressive department goals that support the plants current and future objectives. Lead a team in the achievement of organizational goals. Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and drive those practices throughout their organization. Key Requirements: 5 years experience in a similar role Level 8 Degree in a relevant discipline Strong stakeholder management and people management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to shape, establish, communicate and engage teams in the business vision & strategy.
