Offer description

Controlled Environment Food & Pharma Projects (Ireland)Project values: €300k–€2m | Full-time | Company vehicleWe deliver high-spec controlled environments for food and pharmaceutical projects (new installs and refurb/live environments). Our biggest delivery risk isn't effort on site — it's starting without the right information, materials, and an executable plan. We're hiring an experienced Contracts Manager to act as Delivery Owner from tender award through to handover, and to build the systems that make delivery repeatable as we grow. This role is for someone who doesn't just "manage contracts" — they run the job, raise standards, and leave the company stronger after every project. You will be trusted to make decisions, call problems early, and improve how delivery is done — without micromanagement. The Role (what you will own)You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery across multiple projects, including:Project ownership from award to handover: programme, procurement readiness, coordination, commercial control, quality, and documentation.Authority to approve day-to-day sequencing, subcontractor coordination, procurement, and site resourcing decisions within agreed budgets and programmes. Commercial changes outside agreed thresholds escalate to Directors.Ownership of handover documentation and client sign-off.Pre-start readiness (non-negotiable): ensure each project begins with the right information issued, constraints identified, and a workable site plan in place.Materials and information flow: create and enforce a simple system so site teams have what they need before they need it (drawings/specs, approvals, long-leads, delivery dates, lookaheads).Site execution cadence: establish a consistent weekly rhythm (lookahead planning, subcontractor coordination, client updates, issue/risk tracking).Improve technical standards and operational systems: strengthen templates, checklists, workflows, and handover standards as the business grows — so we rely less on heroics. What "good" looks likeProjects don't mobilise until they're genuinely ready.Site teams aren't waiting on drawings, materials, or decisions. The plan on site is simple, visible, and updated.Variations and risks are surfaced early and handled professionally. If something threatens safety, quality, or programme, we escalate and solve the problem — no hiding, no blame. Each project improves the system for the next one.Written communication is the default for plans, decisions, and handover — verbal discussion is used to unblock, not replace clarity.Clients, Directors, and site teams trust the plan and are kept proactively informed — without the need to chase for updates. What We're Looking ForYou must have:Minimum 6 years' relevant site experience (construction project delivery).Strong engineering fundamentals and practical site judgement.Proven stakeholder management (clients, subcontractors, internal teams).Ability to problem-solve and adapt when conditions change (functional intelligence).A professional, reliable, accountable approach — no drama, no excuses.Nice to have:Food, pharma, or controlled-environment experience.Live environment or refurbishment project experience. How we work (important)You report directly to the Directors. You are the single accountable owner for delivery on assigned projects, with authority to plan, coordinate, and drive outcomes end-to-end.This role is not for you if:You need to be closely managed to keep work moving. You're comfortable with average quality, vague plans, or messy handovers. You wait for problems to be solved by others. You struggle with organisation, timekeeping, or clear communication. Why Join UsThis role exists because the business is growing and we don't want growth to impact standards. You'll have real authority to shape how projects are delivered — not just follow existing processes.Work will be varied across new build installs and refurb/live environments in fast-paced food and pharmaceutical settings. As delivery systems mature, this role grows in scope and influence. We value people who continually raise the bar and are always looking to improve. You'll join a small team where standards are high, decisions are fast, and performance is visible.Application Requirement (required)To be considered, briefly outline:Your experience in a similar role (project types/value, what you owned end-to-end).A major project problem you solved on site without being told what to do — what you did in the first 24–48 hours and the result. In 5–10 bullets, your pre-start "readiness checklist" for week −2 to week +2.What "organisation" means to you in practice (tools, routines, trackers, meeting cadence, checklists — be specific).Applications that don't address the above will not be progressed.RequirementsFull clean driver's licence.Legal right to work in Ireland.Excellent spoken and written English.Package€75k–€90k DOECompany pensionTransport with fuel card
