Overview
Employment Tax Trainee role at BDO Ireland – Join to apply for this position in the Tax department. The successful candidate will be part of the Employment Tax team, with a varied workload including responsibility for a portfolio of domestic and international clients across multiple industry sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with payroll and income tax compliance requirements for a broad portfolio of clients
* Report to senior tax management and tax partners
* Interpret legislation for the preparation of tax returns
* Research and identify tax-compliant solutions and opportunities for clients
* Prepare and file tax returns relating to income tax, payroll tax and share remuneration reporting
* Coordinate cross-border employment tax projects with the BDO Network
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
* Third level qualification in Business or a relevant field with minimum 2:1 GPA
* Highly developed organisational and communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong overall computer literacy
* Ability to work in a team environment and on own initiative
* Ability to build rapport, foster trust, and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders
* Understanding of business drivers and ability to align decisions with strategic goals to deliver value
* Aspiring to pursue the AITI Chartered Tax Advisory Qualification
