Job OverviewWe are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant with hands-on experience in US construction accounting. This role is critical to accurate billing and cash flow management and requires proven experience with retainage, SOV (Schedule of Values) billings, and construction job costing.This is a long-term, remote role for someone who is comfortable working independently, meeting strict deadlines, and supporting a US-based construction company during US business hours.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and manage construction billings, including SOVs and retainageTrack and reconcile retainage receivable and payableHandle progress billings and ensure billing accuracySupport job costing and project-level financial trackingReconcile accounts and assist with the month-end closeMaintain clean, audit-ready financial recordsCoordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve billing discrepanciesRequired QualificationsMinimum 2+ years of experience working as an accountant or bookkeeper for a US construction companyDirect experience with retainage and SOV/progress billings (mandatory)Strong understanding of construction accounting workflowsExperience working with US clients during US business hoursClose attention to detail and the ability to work independentlyStable home setup suitable for long-term remote workNice to HaveExperience with QuickBooks (construction clients)Familiarity with job costing reports and WIP schedulesPrior experience supporting electrical or trade contractors
