Our client is a world-renowned leader in the area of medical devices and is currently expanding the Irish team and they have engaged IT Search to speak to a Senior AWS Engineer to help design and execute highly scalable and secure systems, working closely with counterparts in the USA.
This will suit an very senior Engineer comfortable working across teams, leading delivery of architectures and significant knowledge within AWS, Microservices and Serverless Computing who is looking for a new challenge and is eager to take on this key role in the years to come.
Role Responsibilities
Liaise closely with colleagues to adapt, architect and deliver Serverless solutions
Ensure robust and performant DevOps processes and microservices implementation
Understand impact of processes across various departments, DevOps, Development, Product and Senior Management
Work closely with development teams (UI/backend teams) to ensure consistent and high quality APIs
Requirements
8 years of post grad commercial experience the majority of which should be within Development/DevOps/Architecture
Deep AWS knowledge within a production environment
Serverless experience a must, with cloud native environments being your natural home, Microservices and Lambda, NoSQL and related experience a plus
Database knowledge (SQL for e.g.), any and all volume database experience a bonus
Development knowledge in Python or NodeJS
Docker/Kubernetes experience is vital
Exceptional communication skills and passion for your work
