 
        CATEGORY BUYER | FMCG | RETAILReporting to the Commercial Manager, the Category Buyer role is responsible for the development and performance of all sales, rebate and margin activities for the assigned product category within Retail, by meeting three key objectives:Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate trading terms, joint business plans (JBPs), and marketing strategies, to deliver commercial income and rebate targets.Product Selection: Develop and deliver a compelling category product range that offers choice and value to Retail partners and customers.Pricing and Promotions: Develop and deliver pricing strategies and promotional plans to maximize sales and profitability.Required Qualifications and SkillsProven and demonstrable experience of category buying within B2CStrong commercial acumenAbility to develop strong supplier partnershipsHigh level of proficiency with price file managementProven experience in challenging or negotiation situationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsResults orientated and motivated by targetsAnalytical skills and attention to detailStrong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasksProven experience working in a fast-paced environment both independently and within team setting to meet deadlinesDemonstrated ability to proactively and independently solve complex problemsFor further information, please contact Orla Brennan
