PE Global Healthcare is delighted to assist their client in recruiting a staff nurse for a residential care home based in West Galway. The facility is a purpose-built 51‑bedded home set in a beautiful coastal location with landscaped surroundings.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure that all residents are treated with dignity, privacy and respect, recognizing them as individuals.
Establish a personal and meaningful relationship with all residents, relatives and visitors, providing appropriate support and comfort at all times.
Maintain clear, concise, and accurate records within the home in accordance with legislation and standards.
Adhere to the established policies and procedures for the control, administration, and custody of all drugs and medicines.
Demonstrate knowledge and awareness of standards and participate in the inspection process.
Ensure all admissions are carried out correctly and all appropriate documentation completed.
Liaise with healthcare professionals as necessary regarding the discharge of a resident to the community to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
First level registration.
Registered on the NMBI live register.
Person Specification / Skills / Attributes
Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
Sound decision‑making ability.
Ability to motivate self and others and to work on own initiative.
Ability to work well and promote a team environment.
Results driven.
