The U.S. HRBP team is starting an exciting transformational journey to refresh our organizational structure to support our businesses and leaders due to our tremendous growth over the years.This position provides exposure to those who want to explore an HRBP career path or who love helping the business with their day-to-day operational and cyclical talent needs. In this role you will work closely with a great team of colleagues and report to a leader who prioritizes growth and development. You will have access to business leaders and be able to present your analysis and ideas.**How you will contribute**This role will work collaboratively with HRBPs to support a portfolio of business areas and leaders. You'll take the lead to design, deliver and measure HR processes and programs such as our year-end performance cycle, talent/succession planning, and other business-driven HR deliverables.This position is well suited for you if you enjoy working with autonomy, love data and are interested in being exposed to a broad array of HR practices and programs.* Work in partnership with colleagues across the HRBP team, U.S. HR and our Global Center of Expertise teams to advance the talent agenda and ensure the successful execution of annual cycle processes through planning, project management, training, reporting and analysis. This may include: + Talent Review and succession management + Annual performance and compensation cycles + Employee Engagement + Sabbatical program + Recognition programs + Inclusion and belonging* Manage day-to-day HR activities, operational and cyclical programs support. This may include partnering with Center of Expertise teams such as: + Talent Acquisition + Total Rewards + Talent Development + Talent Management + Employee Relations + HR Services* Provide data and reporting support including: + Prepare regular reports, synthesize and analyze data and information and draw meaningful conclusions. + Identify, coordinate and consolidate the best data and reports to leverage for the business. + Lead data analysis, research and documentation of HR metrics, annual cycle processes to Support HRBPs with their talent and culture insights. + Generate ideas/hypotheses on data to examine and demonstrate curiosity regarding key drivers of our workforce. + Identify high-level trends, bringing possible connections points or areas of interest to the attention of the HRBPs and improve HR metrics.* Create and prepare templates, summary presentations, and other documentation on behalf of the HRBPs for cyclical HR programs and operational activities.* Have a mindset to identify opportunities to improve processes and present recommendations to create synergies between the U.S. HRBP team and our U.S. and Global Center of Expertise teams.* Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and managers within assigned business areas and provide support on talent requests such as job evaluations, development programs, answering questions, etc.* Provide human resources support and coaching on policies and procedures to employees, managers and leaders as required, often on unplanned questions and scenarios.* Ability to identify, develop and implement programs and processes to enhance our Employee Value Proposition and support business needs. For example, drive internal career paths, identify opportunities for Organizational Development, implement programs provided by Corporate HR Centres of Expertise (COE), etc.Ireland Associate HRBP accountabilities include:* Collaborate with the TA and Early Careers Consultant for Talent Acquisition and hiring activity in Ireland, including supporting the recruitment cycle as necessary, attendance at careers fairs, Open days, and other Talent activity to support the internal and external talent Pipeline* Act as Lead HRBP in all Ireland early career talent Programs as well as identifying key capabilities crucial for success and leading on actions that need to be created to ensure positive outcomes. For example Horizon, Intern program, Academic Awards and other related projects and Initiatives* Foster a culture of Inclusion across Sun Life to ensure every employee is afforded dignity and respect so they can perform to the best of their ability each day.* Proactively support the arrangement of engagement events across our locations to encourage moments of togetherness as part of a hybrid workplace.* Strong Familiarity with Irish employment law and the ability to translate legal requirements into policies and procedures and cascade this information to our managers and their teams.* Proactively provide counsel and advice to managers to reinforce our High-Performance Culture. Facilitate the effective resolution of ER issues and accommodations. Support Performance Management Process as well as manage investigations and the resolution of moderate to complex ER issues in partnership with Managers, the ER team and Legal as needed.* Implement HR policies and procedures in Ireland, ensuring that SL is fully compliant in terms of Employment legislation, GDPR, and other legislative requirements* Act as HRBP SME for any Ireland HR related projects that help evolve our employee experience as example, Gender Pay Gap, Global Pay transparency, Employment Law Compliance* Additional ad hoc duties as may arise from time to time in support of HR or business objectives.**What you bring with you*** Effectively and successfully navigate in a fast-paced matrix organization with multiple stakeholders by prioritizing work requests and meeting deadlines.* Proficient in MS Office to create compelling templates and presentations to tell a talent story with a focus on advanced Excel skills (e.g., V/Xlookup, IF statements, pivot tables, complex formulas) to compile, review, prepare and present data.* Highly organized to manage large amounts of data and information and compile accurately for tracking and reporting.* Excellent research skills and resourcefulness, including an orientation to be informed through data.* Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into insights and recommendations and an eye for detail and accuracy.* Excellent initiative to plan and manage work independently, including proactively identifying ways to improve work processes and practices.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.* A Bachelor's degree or certification in human resources, organizational development or other directly related field.
