The Business Analyst is a key role in the eliciting ofrequirements from a mix of technical and non-technical business resources andtranslating them with developers and signed off as part of the project deliverylifecycle.The Business Analyst ispart of the Change Team and is a subject matter expert (SME) in Retail mortgageservicing. They will work across allPepper Ireland departments, including Operations, IT, PMO, CRE, Compliance,Lending, Finance & MI, and Pepper clients to ensure business requirementsare defined and delivered to provide maximum benefit to the business.Location: Dublin or ShannonTypeof Contract: PermanentKeyResponsibilitiesRequirements & Design-Host workshops to elicit requirements from business/clients, challenging status quo and mindset to ensure the best possible design and benefit realisation-Conduct high quality business analysis and provide clear business requirement documentation/functional specs-Identify and escalate important systems issues-Playback of requirements back to business/client-Communication/translation of the requirements to IT-Ensuring appropriate approvals for sign off of requirements-Provide support to UAT team e.g. understanding requirements for translation to test scripts, handover on data structure knowledgeProcess Definition-Working with SMEs to capture to be processes and supporting documentation always with a customer first mindset – i.e., SOPS, procedures, policy updates-Ensuring sign off of process documentation in a timely fashion to allow for controlled delivery throughout the project lifecycleCommunication-Proactively engage with Project Manager, Change Leadership and/or functional leaders to document business improvements and/or issues.-Data Reconciliation/Issues-Analyse data from multiple sources in order to review, validate, cleanse, and load to Pepper systems.-Perform gap analysis on current data vs data required to perform data migrations.-Supporting the data query log activities-Supporting and driving closure of data issues.Methodology/Training-Contribute to methodology reviews to ensure Pepper methodology stays relevant, adapts to lessons learned and provides appropriate and proportionate governance-Facilitate knowledge share sessions across the teamEssentialSkills & Experience-Relevant 3rd Level Qualification and/or Professional Qualification in Business Analysis-Candidates should be highly professional, self-motivated with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.-Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working as a business analyst in financial services/insurance-Experienced in MS Office including Word, Visio, and high degree of proficiency in Microsoft excel and experience analysing large data sets-Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools-Experience of data analysis and ability to present complex information in an understandable manner to all areas of the business-Problem solving and root cause identification skills-Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization-Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively-Strong understanding of all aspects of systems implementation and software development life cycles-Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to review, understand and interpret loans interest and billing history-A proven track record of excellent communication and customer service skills enabling successful collaboration with key stakeholders; ability to translate client requirements into tangible requirements/deliverables-Experience working with technical and business teams to translate internal and external business needs to drive functional and technical requirementsDesirableSkills & Experience-Experience and knowledge of supporting change in a Retail mortgage servicing business; on/offboarding, digital/customer journey/transformation/BAU change-JIRA experience-Experience and knowledge on various loan product types i.e., Simple vs. Compound Interest, Billing amounts, Capital & Interest loans, Interest Only loans, Part and Part loans and Interest Rate types i.e., Fixed rate, Variable rate, Tracker rate (desirable)KeyPerformance Indicators-Documents are clear, concise, and accurate-Person acts as SME and demonstrates functional design competence across all Pepper teams-Ownership of BA tasks and delivery to a high standard-Successful implementation of all changes under the remit of the BA-Prompt identification of important system issues-Be solution focused to overcome issues-Urgent issues prioritised and escalated to correct person-Hold effective stakeholder meetingsCompetencies-Business Requirements and Process mapping-IT Knowledge – General-Accuracy & Quality-Analytical Thinking-High Attention to Detail-Communication & Interpersonal Skills-Communication Skills- Written-Problem solving-Team Working-Conflict Management-Good Stakeholder Management SkillsPepper is an equalopportunity employer.RoleProfiles are subject to change in line with business needs.
