Job Title: Duty Manager Location: Dublin, Ireland Employment Type: Full-Time Reports To: Hotel General Manager / Operations Manager Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at a busy and vibrant hotel in Dublin.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and supporting departmental teams.
This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily hotel operations across all departments including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance.
Act as the main point of contact for guests, handling queries, complaints, and special requests professionally and efficiently.
Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained at all times.
Support and motivate staff to achieve performance targets and maintain a positive working environment.
Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational standards are met.
Manage shift handovers and ensure effective communication between departments.
Assist in training and development of team members.
Monitor and manage stock levels, ordering supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and hotel policies.
Handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
Experience & Skills Required: Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or duty management role within the hospitality industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proven ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues efficiently.
Good understanding of hotel operations and systems (e.g., PMS, POS).
Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
A professional and proactive approach to work.
Knowledge of health & safety and fire safety procedures.
