The Kilkenny site manufactures FreeStyle blood glucose test strips and sensors, with brands like FreeStyle Precision, FreeStyle Lite, and FreeStyle Libre.
Role Overview
As a Quality Technician, you will maintain the effectiveness of the quality system, ensure site compliance, and support cross-functional relationships to meet operational goals. This shift-based role operates on a 4-cycle shift schedule.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain the effectiveness of the Quality System
* Ensure safe and effective products that meet customer needs and compliance standards
* Assist engineering with data collection and measurement
* Support continuous improvement of quality management systems
* Maintain quality records and raise compliance issues
* Report status, metrics, and potential issues
* Prepare for audits and identify quality improvement projects
* Support operational quality and compliance decisions during manufacturing
Qualifications and Experience
* NFQ Level 6 qualification in Engineering, Science, or Manufacturing
* At least 2 years experience in the food/medical/pharmaceutical industry
* Strong communication skills
* Attention to detail
