RPS, a Tetra Tech company is looking for a Civil Engineer (Circular Economy) to join our Design and Regeneration Team, to be based in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Kilkenny and Sligo.

Our team have extensive experience in a wide range of waste and circular economy projects including; Environmental Risk Assessment (ERA) of closed landfills and unregulated waste disposal sites and remediation design; Design of waste infrastructure including recycling, recovery, disposal and landfill sites; and Investigation of contaminated land and design and execution of remediation solutions. What You Will Be Doing
* You’ll be working on a wide range of projects enabling you to develop your understanding of developing sustainable design solutions for waste infrastructure.
* You’ll have the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience from working with senior colleagues across RPS business units (e.g., Energy, Water, Transport, Geotechnical).
* You will provide support to the team by developing designs, conducting site investigations, desk-based technical report writing, conducting site visits and appraisals, and assisting with management of project tasks.
* You have been involved in leading and delivering waste design projects to a high standard. You take a proactive role towards project health and safety, and in an Irish context have an understanding of the PSCS/PSDP roles.
* Grow our business by strengthening relationships with existing clients and supporting expansion into new markets
* Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
* Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
Who We Are Looking For
* We’d like you to have at least 5 years professional experience in a civils design role, ideally within a consultancy context in designing waste infrastructure or remediation projects.
* You’ll be confident providing and demonstrable experience delivering technical outputs to a high standard (e.g., reports, drawings, project plans).
* Highly motivated with interest and ambition to further develop expertise in the design of waste infrastructure.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language. Additional language skills a plus.
* Demonstrate an ability to effectively manage your time and identify project priorities.
* Be flexible and have a willingness to travel on occasion to client sites for meetings, surveys etc.
* Current member of a professional body (e.g., Engineers Ireland) working toward chartered status.
* Ability to work closely as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, with strong social and interpersonal skills.
* A good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental management.
* Have a full clean driving licence.
* Leadership - Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work closely with Clients to achieve high levels of satisfaction and win-win outcomes.
* Project Management – Extensive experience in all aspects of delivering projects and programmes of work, including budgeting, forecasting and cost control. Experience of leading, coaching and training project managers.

* Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BSc/BE) or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
* Chartered Engineer or close to attaining Chartership
