Financial Director Role
We are seeking an accomplished Financial Controller to drive the strategic direction of our company and lead our financial operations. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive and ambitious professional who can add value to our business.
About the Job
As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for preparing annual audit files, managing month-end financial close processes, monitoring daily cash flow, and ensuring compliance with statutory returns. You will also oversee internal controls, risk management, and financial compliance activities, collaborate with senior executives to develop financial strategies, and manage the finance team to foster a high-performance culture.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A solid understanding of statutory financial obligations inc. VAT, RTD, Intrastat and PAYE.
* Excellent analytical mindset, with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* Effective communication skills to manage and mentor a small finance team and work closely with directors and stakeholders.
* Commercial focus with ability to analyse costs and manage sales pricing & margins.
* Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
* Ability to manage and maintain the fixed asset register and evaluate new investment opportunities.
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
* 3+ years' experience in a senior financial position.
* Technical proficiency in financial software and tools, ideally in Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP, Excel, Power BI and SharePoint.
