Position Summary
NeoDyne is recruiting a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our expanding Power Generation & Utilities team. Our graduate programme is all about learning new and developing your existing skills. Over a two‑year period, you will be placed in projects where you get to do meaningful work and contribute to the business. This graduate opportunity is offered as a full‑time permanent contract, based at our Cork office, with an excellent salary and benefits package. Key Responsibilities
* Prepare coordinated drawings covering all aspects of installations, including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and structural elements, and produce electrical design including electrical layouts, LV & MV distribution design, control & instrumentation design, and general services design.
* Carry out power systems electrical studies: load estimates, protection coordination, cable sizing calculations, short‑circuit studies, and protection studies for proposed renewable generation.
* Generate technical documentation and specifications for electrical equipment and assemblies such as transformers, RTUs, instrumentation, etc., and engage with customers to develop soft‑skills.
* Travel to customer sites to assist with installation, testing, and commissioning, including design and commissioning of SCADA and control systems in the field, I/O and instrumentation testing, and full testing and commissioning.

* 20% Learning from others: work with subject‑matter experts and interact with customers daily, receiving support and guidance, and learn from former graduates who have successfully completed the programme.
* 10% Formal education: receive e‑learning and classroom training to become an expert in your chosen field, and attain professional certifications where relevant.
Requirements
* Level 8 Degree in Electrical/Power Systems/Energy Engineering, or equivalent.
* 0–2 years’ experience in a similar electrical design role or work placement.
* Full Irish driving licence, or to be achieved within 12 months of starting the role.
Desired Experience
* Experience developing electrical schematics using AutoCAD, EPLAN or similar.
* Experience developing equipment layouts using AutoCAD or similar.
