Job Title: Security Engineer Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid) Department: IT / Cybersecurity Overview: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Security Engineer to join our Data Security Team. This role is crucial in securing infrastructure, applications, and data, with a focus on vulnerability management, incident response, and key security projects. Key Responsibilities: Own and manage vulnerability management and incident response systems. Conduct vulnerability scans, analyze findings, and coordinate remediation. Prioritize and resolve security issues based on risk. Act as first responder to security incidents; perform root cause analysis and corrective actions. Lead and support projects across cloud and on-premises security architecture, Windows and network hardening, and web application security. Contribute to compliance efforts (ISO 27001, SOC 2). Collaborate with IT, DevOps, Development, and Data teams to embed security best practices. Stay informed on emerging threats, tools, and industry trends. Requirements: Degree in IT or related discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience in a Security Engineer role. Hands-on experience in vulnerability management, incident response, and cloud security. Strong knowledge of Azure security tools, networking, Windows, and cloud environments. Familiarity with web application security and security compliance frameworks. Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Security+, OSCP (or equivalent). Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills. Bonus Experience: Tools: Sonarcloud, Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, Edgescan, Incident Response: Palo Alto Cortex XDR, Azure Sentinel. Scripting and automation skills.
