The Role
Build, lead and mentor a team of analysts while working closely with the Fund Accounting team in New York
Oversee month end closing processes, financial statements, journal entries and reconciliations across multiple legal entities
Focus on accounting for entities and trading subsidiaries across a variety of products (Equities, Fixed Income, PE / RE strategies, Commodities etc.)
Partner with auditors to coordinate timely and accurate financial and investor reporting
Drive best practices in process, technology and reporting in a fast paced, evolving environment
The Requirements
Proven experience working directly on funds – Fund Controller, Financial Controller or
Director in a Big 4 Audit firm or
Fund Accounting Manager in an Admin
Understanding of financial reporting in a fund and / or fund accounting
Strong leadership / leadership potential with the ability to build and develop a team
Exceptional communicator and collaborator with a hands on, solution oriented approach
Comfortable working in a dynamic, deadline driven environment with exposure to senior stakeholders
