**Accounts Assistant / Accounts Administrator**
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for bank reconciliations, sales and purchase ledger management, credit control, VAT returns, and stock management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Bank Reconciliations: Accurately reconcile company bank statements to ensure all transactions are recorded and up-to-date.
* Sales/Purchase Ledger Management: Manage the sales and purchase ledgers, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.
* Credit Control: Maintain effective credit control processes to minimize bad debts and ensure prompt payment from customers.
* VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns on a timely basis to avoid any penalties or fines.
* Stock Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
The ideal candidate will have recent experience in a fast-paced commercial accounting role and be proficient in using Sage 200 or other relevant accounting software. Strong Excel skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are essential.
