Supporting Adults with Intellectual Disabilities
Cpl Healthcare are actively seeking qualified professionals to support adults with intellectual disabilities in a community-based setting, assisting with independent living skills and integration into the community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist adults with intellectual disabilities with daily living skills, such as personal care, medication management, and meal preparation.
* Encourage independence and autonomy among individuals, promoting self-reliance and decision-making skills.
* Develop and implement individualized care plans, tailored to meet the unique needs of each person supported.
Requirements:
* FETAC level 5 in Healthcare or similar qualification.
* 1 year's experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
* Working knowledge of HIQA regulations and experience adhering to National Standard policies.
* Experience and understanding of person-centred care and planning.
* An ability to follow plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of the individuals supported.
* Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
* Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, including Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
* A full driver's license and availability of own car is an essential requirement.
