OverviewWe are a life sciences company focused on the development, production, and commercialization of high-value consumable products used in the process of manufacturing biological drugs. We are looking for a Manufacturing Team Lead (Weekend Shift). Reporting directly to the manufacturing manager at our Waterford Manufacturing site, this role will lead a shift of Manufacturing Associates and will operate on a 2-cycle rotating shift.
Responsibilities
As the Manufacturing Team Lead, you will be responsible for:
Ensuring strict compliance with all plant health and safety policies, including detailed incident and accident reporting.
Ensuring compliance with manufacturing procedures, regulatory and GMP requirements, quality procedures including record keeping, inspection standards, product disposition, and validation protocols.
Monitoring performance against the plan.
Meeting the requirements to produce high-quality products efficiently, safely, and hygienically, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Supporting the department to achieve organizational plant goals.
Participating in department meetings with adequate preparation.
Managing ongoing operations to meet KPIs.
Preparing for and participating in internal and external quality audits.
Promoting continuous improvement and managing change through Tier Daily Management.
Leading investigations for non-conformities and CAPAs in your area and team.
Training and developing employees on your shift.
Managing team time and attendance, including absenteeism, overtime, and occupational health follow-up.
Providing leadership, direction, and coordination to your team.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
At least one year of supervisory experience in a GMP manufacturing/pharmaceutical environment.
An excellent understanding of manufacturing processes.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite; SAP experience is a plus.
Good problem-solving, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills; advanced Excel skills are advantageous.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to organize, develop, motivate, and understand employees.
A proven track record in people management.
