Job Title: Assistant to Asset Manager
Role Purpose
To support the Asset Manager in managing company assets, including machinery, equipment, products, and factory facilities, by maintaining accurate records, coordinating maintenance activities, and liaising with vendors. This role plays a key part in ensuring assets are effectively tracked, maintained, and utilized to support smooth production operations.
Key Responsibilities
· Asset Tracking & Documentation
o Maintain and update the asset and project register (new purchases, repairs, modifications).
o Organize and file project documents, including warranties, invoices, and service contracts.
· Maintenance Coordination
o Monitor project and repair progress with the maintenance team and other departments.
o Track and follow up on service requests and repairs to ensure timely resolution.
· Reporting & Compliance
o Assist with physical asset audits and inventory checks.
o Prepare and generate regular reports on asset performance and project progress.
· Procurement & Vendor Management
o Support purchasing activities by obtaining specifications and quotes for equipment, parts, and services.
o Liaise with suppliers regarding schedules, deliveries, and warranty claims.
Skills & Qualities Required
· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate in recordkeeping.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate across departments.
· Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a busy office and factory environment.
· Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Reporting Line
· Reports to: Asset Manager
· Works closely with: Management, Purchasing, Accounts, Maintenance, and Production teams.
