As the business continues its growth trajectory, we are now searching for a proactive Management Accountant to join the team.
The Role The Management Accountant will play a pivotal role in providing accurate financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities include preparing management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to ensure the company's financial health aligns with its growth objectives.
Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Assist in developing annual budgets and periodic forecasts, monitoring performance against these benchmarks.
Analyse discrepancies between actual results and budgets/forecasts, providing insights and recommendations.
Monitor and forecast cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations and investments.
Evaluate company expenditures, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal policies, assisting in audits as necessary.
Continuously assess and enhance financial processes and systems for optimal efficiency.
Work closely with various departments to provide financial insights and support operational decisions.
Supervise and mentor junior finance staff, fostering professional development and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Essential Qualifications: Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the PR, media, or creative industries.
Demonstrated ability to prepare management accounts and conduct financial analysis.
Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Quick Books) and advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
