Front Office Manager

Job Description: We are seeking an enthusiastic, professional, motivated and hardworking individual to lead from the reception desk with a focus on delivering excellent customer service. This position is not office-based but requires leading the front office team at the hotel reception desk.

Compensation: €37,000 per year plus 2% commission on all accommodation bookings.

Working Hours: 39-hour week; available any 5 days between Monday and Sunday.


Responsibilities

* Establish and implement standards to ensure all services are of 4* quality and train employees accordingly.
* Set high performance standards for self and others and assume responsibility for completing assignments.
* Identify and analyse operational challenges; facilitate solutions to prevent recurrence.
* Liaise daily with accommodation and maintenance departments to resolve issues.
* Develop and sustain productive customer relationships; actively seek information to understand customer needs.
* Improve service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs and provide guidance and coaching.
* Provide guidance and direction to team members, including setting standards and monitoring performance.
* Manage staffing levels to meet guest service, operational, and financial objectives through planning.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and statutory requirements.
* Display leadership in guest hospitality, exemplify excellent service, and create a positive atmosphere.
* Maintain a strong visible presence in the department.
* Recruit, train, develop, and retain team members.


Qualifications

* Previous experience in a similar position in a 3* or 4* property.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to motivate self and team.
* Strong professional communication skills, oral and written.
* Experience in a high-volume property in Ireland.
* Fully competent in the property management system (HOTSOFT or similar PMS).
* Ability to work under pressure, on initiative, and a passion for hospitality business.
