The Mater Acute Trauma Rehabilitation Team is a multidisciplinary team (MDT) working primarily on St. Peter’s and St. Gemma’s wards but also reviewing trauma patients throughout the hospital. The team aims to provide rehabilitation to patients following traumatic injuries at the earliest possible opportunity. To support this rehabilitation, the team will complete a rehabilitation prescription (RP) to ensure best practice standards are met.
The Health and Social Care Assistant (HSCA) will work as part of the MDT under the guidance and supervision of CORU-registered physiotherapists (PT), occupational therapists (OT), and speech and language therapists (SLT) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered interventions. The role includes both clinical and non-clinical duties that support the MDT in providing a quality service to all users.
This is a full-time, temporary position. For further details, please see the attached full job description.
A panel will be formed from this recruitment process from which other Health and Social Care Assistant posts supporting Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Physiotherapy will be recruited. The core principles of the assistant role will be consistent, but the specific duties and clinical areas may vary.
