What You’ll Learn And Do
Carry out mechanical maintenance and repair work on mine assets and equipment
Install new equipment and components under supervision
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PM) tasks to agreed schedules
Respond to corrective (reactive) maintenance tasks as required
Construct, assemble and maintain mechanical systems and components
Take part in technical and lubrication programme activities
Monitor the performance of machinery and equipment and identify potential issues early
Develop practical fault‑finding, repair and problem‑solving skills
Your support and development
Coach and guide you throughout your apprenticeship
Help you build confidence in your technical skills
Encourage questions and continuous learning
Entry Requirements
Aged 18 years or over
Leaving Certificate with a minimum of five passes at Ordinary Level, including English and Maths
Skills And Qualities We Look For

An interest in technology, engineering or problem solving
Practical details
39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Some flexibility required in line with operational needs
A structured apprenticeship combining on‑the‑job learning with off‑site training
