Overview
Central Service Manager: Timetabling (1 Year Specified Purpose). The Central Timetabling Unit (CTU) is responsible inter alia for the establishment and maintenance of systems, procedures and rules to ensure that timetables are created and maintained in a fair and equitable manner that places the primary focus on the needs of students, and on the quality assurance of curriculum scheduling. In addition, the unit is responsible for cleaning existing data, generating reports, training staff and establishing best practices for data management. SETU seeks to appoint a Central Service Manager to manage the existing CTU on the Waterford campus and build and implement a similar CTU on the Carlow campus. We are seeking an individual who possesses excellent management skills, organisational abilities and attention to detail.
Hours of Work: The appointee will be required to work 35 hours per week together with such additional hours as required for the proper discharge of their duties.
Salary: Senior Management Scale - €88,231 - €113,478
Annual Leave: 30 days annual leave. Annual Leave will be in accordance with arrangements authorised by the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science from time to time.
Responsibilities
* Manage the existing Central Timetabling Unit (CTU) on the Waterford campus and build and implement a similar CTU on the Carlow campus.
* Oversee the establishment and maintenance of systems, procedures and rules to ensure timetables are created and maintained in a fair and equitable manner with a focus on student needs and quality assurance of curriculum scheduling.
* Oversee data cleaning, reporting, staff training and the establishment of best practices for data management.
