Business Development Executive (BDR) – Part Time

The CX Academy is a leading online educational company which is setting the global standard for accredited Customer Experience (CX) qualifications.
We are a global online provider of CX certification and qualifications based in Dublin, Ireland and established in 2018. Customer Experience (CX) is an exciting and interesting skill and the fastest growing business skill in the world.
We have spent several years developing online CX courses to the highest level and we are now the global standard for certified Customer Experience qualifications.
We currently sell four courses –, a foundation course Professional Certificate in CX and the more advanced Professional Diploma in CX which is university credit-rated, a MicroCourse AI for CX, a short onboarding course CX Essentials.
Our learners are split into two groups – firstly, individual learners looking to gain valuable CX knowledge and advance their careers – what we call direct sales. Secondly, companies who enrol teams to advance CX Excellence throughout their organization – what we call corporate sales.
The Business Development role will be focused on direct/individual sales.
The CX Academy has graduates now in more than 100 countries.

We need an experienced Business Development Executive to drive qualified leads to our direct sales team.
You must have at least 2 years' experience in Business Development or B2C online sales.
Ideally, if you have experience in CX, EdTech, Education Sales or training sales it will be an advantage – but not essential.
You will have some understanding of Customer Experience (CX) and must be able to deliver on all of our key emotional drivers – Knowing our potential learners, making it easy for them, understanding their individual situations and issues, meeting and managing their expectations, resolving issues smoothly when required and ensuring a high level of trust is maintained between The CX Academy and the learners at all times.
It will help if you also have any experience in HR or L&D.
About The Role:
This is a part-time Business Development position following an initial trial period. Hours of work are to be decided and agreed with the successful candidate.
As a Business Development Executive with The CX Academy you will need to be a self-starter, have good initiative and be very comfortable doing cold outreach and cold calling. You will start by learning all aspects of our sales function.
Initially your role will involve understanding how we generate leads, convert existing leads, our courses and products. You will also be organising initial sales meetings with clients and sales conversions.
You will work with a pipeline of self-generated leads. You will identify new sales prospects and sell our qualify them for our sales team.
You will be targeting Customer Experience, Customer Service, Operations, Marketing Executives and other roles. You will advise them on our CX courses and then pass them onto our direct sales team.
You will identify and manage your own lead pipelines, follow up on enquiries/leads by email and phone, listen to what individuals want, advise them on which course or programme is most suitable for their groups, discuss the benefits and content of the courses.
You may have other operational duties also.
Requirements (Mandatory)
· A minimum of 2 years corporate (BDR) or direct sales experience
· Experience of CRM/Sales tools – Hubspot a big advantage
· The ability to create Powerpoint presentations
· An excellent standard of written and spoken English
Requirements (Desirable)
· Experience in education, edtech or training sales
· A knowledge of Customer Experience (CX)
· Previous experience in Business Development or sales in the professional learning and development sector and working with HR and Learning and Development executives
