The role of Health and Safety Manager is a critical position within our organization, responsible for ensuring the well-being of employees and maintaining a safe working environment.
As Health and Safety Manager, you will be tasked with coordinating health and safety activities across various sites, managing and maintaining company policies and procedures, and developing plans to align with current legislations.
You will work closely with the Contracts Manager and Senior Management Team to ensure that all health and safety protocols are in place and followed. This includes conducting regular site visits and inspections, managing and coordinating Health and Safety Officers and Advisors, and preparing and coordinating training for all employees.
In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring that all accidents or incidents are dealt with appropriately and plans are made to avoid these situations. You will also liaise with internal and external auditors regarding health and safety processes within the company.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in health and safety or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience in a similar position. You should be able to manage a team of health and safety professionals, communicate effectively, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
