We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor. The company manufactures high-quality products for the pharmaceutical and medical device markets.
Reporting to the Site Lead and Regional HSE Manager, you will play a key role in driving health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure site compliance with current HSE legislation, best practices, and internal standards.
* Manage and review Risk Assessments (RAs) and Safe Working Operating Procedures (SWOPs).
* Deliver site inductions and HSE training for new staff, contractors, and visitors.
* Lead incident reporting and investigation processes, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Conduct regular internal audits and safety inspections, maintaining HSE records and documentation.
* Coordinate the site safety committee and manage HSE communications, including KPI reporting.
* Oversee PPE inventory and support site teams in hazard identification and risk mitigation.
* Contribute to the ongoing development and monitoring of the site safety plan.
Requirements:
* Relevant HSE qualifications (e.g., IOSH/NEBOSH).
* Strong knowledge of H&S and Environmental legislation and systems.
* Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage across all levels of the organisation.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
