Job Overview
* Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports to internal and external stakeholders.
* Support month-end processes, regulatory returns, and internal Allianz Group reporting.
About the Role
* The Financial Accountant will be responsible for providing expert input and driving key processes.
* This role is a key point of contact in the Accounting team and supports colleagues in their development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work under different accounting regimes: IFRS, Solvency II / MVBS, German local GAAP.
2. Maintain general ledger and sub-ledgers.
3. Manage work assignments independently from start to completion.
4. Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
5. Support the year-end external audit by responding to auditors' requests for information and documentation, providing input to and reviewing the Company's Financial Statements;
6. Support Solvency II regulatory reporting (input, review, testing of QRTs).
7. Support and deliver on internal audit requests.
8. Collaborate in a global team and manage relationships with different internal and external stakeholders as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Qualification ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified accountant.
* Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
* Essential: Relevant working experience (2+ years post qualification) in the financial services sector preference given to Big 4 audit firms and/or (re-)insurance.
* Previous knowledge of investment accounting.
* Strong analytical skills and curiosity to expand own field of expertise.
