About The Role & Team
As Scrum Master, you will be the process lead for the team, guiding them to excel by fostering transparency, inspection and adaptation with Agile and Lean principles and practices. You will be accountable for enabling several Scrum teams to deliver frequent business value, ensuring the effective use of Scrum, agile practices, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Reporting to the delivery lead in Messaging and a dotted line into the area’s Agile lead, you will be working with several teams in the Communication and Data Exchange portfolio, and a member of the Agile Guild.
What You’ll Do
* Act as a servant-leader, coaching and mentoring Scrum teams to apply Agile principles effectively and deliver high-quality outcomes consistently.
* Facilitate Scrum events; Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Reviews, and Retrospectives - ensuring they are purposeful and outcome-driven.
* Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to refine the Product Backlog, clarify priorities, and help the team set realistic Sprint Goals.
* Use metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, and team health-checks to identify improvement areas and drive continuous learning and adaptation.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, self-organization, and accountability, enabling the team to operate with autonomy and clarity of purpose.
* Mentor team members and stakeholders in Scrum values and Agile practices, encouraging a mindset of growth, transparency, and customer focus.
* Use Azure DevOps, and ensure the PO and team can use it effectively to manage backlogs, visualize progress, and maintain transparency.
* Lead through influence, resolving conflicts early, supporting team cohesion, and maintaining morale and focus throughout the Sprint.
* Champion Scrum practices while remaining pragmatic and adaptable to the team's context and maturity. Focused on outcome over methodology.
* Actively participate as a member of the portfolio’s Agile Guild, share and bring new ideas and practices that enhance team performance and agility.
