Cost Accountant Role
This role involves supporting the Financial Controller and Senior Management team in making operational decisions based on accurate cost and margin information. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing and improving processes on internal databases and systems.
* Analyse and improve processes on internal databases and systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
* Streamline expenditure to identify and implement cost saving opportunities, thus contributing to the company's overall financial goals.
* Compile month end reports and complete all month end procedures on time to meet the team's expectations.
* Support the compilation and analysis of monthly operational KPI data to provide valuable insights to management.
* Operate and maintain accurate inventory accounting and control systems, including cycle counts and month-end reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
* Provide accurate and informative product cost and margin information to management, including control of new product programs to support business growth.
* Operate costing system, maintaining complete information to ensure labour and overhead is correctly absorbed, thus optimising resources.
* Provide analysis and support to production to help drive improved performance and efficiency, contributing to the company's competitive edge.
* Lead the collation of annual budget and quarterly rolling forecasts to inform strategic business decisions.
* Assist with internal and external auditing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Ensure process documentation is clear and up-to-date to facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices.
