Job Description:
We are seeking a Junior Farm Development Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with existing customers and developing skills to sell our farm product to new customers, helping to increase our share of the farm sector in Ireland. This role supports our eight farm business development managers.
The core responsibilities of the Junior Farm Development Executive include learning on the job about farm business development within insurance, including renewal calls and new business submissions, building a pipeline of leads and actively managing the process, learning to survey outbuildings for fire & storm cover with experienced farm development managers, participating in Farm Talks/Presentations and attending agricultural shows and marts occasionally, building relationships across the farming community and with current partners (DairyGold, ICMSA, and FDC), representing the brand to the farming community, working with the Head of Farm Direct Sales & Farm Business Development Managers, executing sales and distribution strategies aligned with business goals, understanding critical success factors and trends in the agricultural sector, using sales and distribution insights to improve customer propositions and profitability, providing customer feedback to improve the customer experience.
Success Measures:
The success of this role will be measured by customer feedback, retention levels, and new business secured, providing relevant market trend recommendations to the Head of Farm Direct, developing, sharing, and monitoring best practices.
Your Skills and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 2 Grade C3/H5 at Higher Level in the Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) or FETAC Level 6 Diploma, in line with Central Bank guidelines, the applicant will need to sit relevant Insurance Institute exams, a Degree in Agricultural Science is preferable but not necessary, CIP or working towards it. You will also need strong customer experience, knowledge of the agricultural industry is preferable, experience as an insurer or broker is an advantage.
