Job Overview
The Head of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) is a strategic role responsible for leading and managing all activities related to the organization's Group Health, Safety & Environment Programme. This involves working across group sites to develop, implement, and oversee strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a safe working environment for employees.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and implement effective Health, Safety & Environment policies and procedures incorporating legislative requirements and industry best practice.
* Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives including setting targeted/site-specific goals and initiatives and monitor performance/progress.
* Oversee external audits and inspections and develop the internal HSE audit programme to monitor compliance to documented policies and procedures.
* Compile and report on key Health & Safety & Environment metrics and analyse data to identify trends, root cause and opportunities for improvement.
