Position SummaryThis is a key front line role supporting the Store Manager and Area Manager and Directors in delivering a personal and memorable shopping experience to our customers in a unique environment. Each day at work will be a different experience and we are looking for a senior experienced retailer to join our team. The Celtic Tweed brand is growing strongly instore and online. The Celtic Tweed tour experience after means you will be welcoming overseas visitors, and celebrities.Reporting directly to the Store Manager, the Senior Retail Assistant will be responsible for running the shop floor when the manager is not available. Overseeing all store operations, preparing for all wedding bookings, new appointments, and final fits and measuring. Supports junior staff, shares styling techniques, and models brand values. Acts as a cultural ambassador within the store.Assisting customers on the floor providing the highest level of customer service that contributes to the customers experience in store.The successful candidate will be a problem solver, who loves people and enjoys a challenge and wants to deliver a five-star experience. He/she will have an eye for detail, excellent communication and organisational skills, be friendly and outgoing, and a team player.Principal Duties & Responsibilities:· Delivering a 5-star customer service experience to everyone who enters the store and their team colleagues· Overseeing daily the presentation of the store, mannequins and working closely with the VM team monthly as stock changes.· Ensuring stock levels are well maintained across both the Celtic Tweed and Dorian Brand stores.· Planning instore promotions, Wedding Events- Attendance at events may be required.· Handling customer queries promptly and successfully.· Following quality control guidelines, making sure that our suits and overall stock is immaculate at all times· Ensuring the shop floor remains presentable and tidy· Undertake such other reasonable and lawful duties pertaining to the post as may be directed from time to time.Personal Attributes for successful candidate.Empathetic Listener & Style Advisor Understands the emotional significance of events like weddings, graduations, or milestone celebrations. Sensitive to traditions, etiquette, and emotional nuances of special occasions.Role RequirementsMinimum 5 Years in Premium Retail or Tailored FashionExperience with high-touch customer service, ideally in occasion wear, menswear, or heritage brands.Styling & Fitting ExpertiseSkilled in guiding customers through fittings, alterations, and silhouette choices. Familiar with body types and how to flatter them.Sales Performance & CRM ProficiencyProven track record of meeting targets. Comfortable using CRM tools to track client preferences, follow-ups, and repeat purchases.Event & Campaign SupportParticipates in launches, and seasonal campaigns and with visual merchandising.Flexible Schedule & Weekend AvailabilitySpecial occasions often mean weekend fittings or last-minute requests availability is key.Irish Heritage & Brand Alignment (Preferred)Passion for Irish design, storytelling, and sustainability.
