About the Role
As a seasoned Quantity Surveyor - Estimator, you will be responsible for coordinating critical activities involving project documentation review, take-off projects, and presentation of tender bids in the HV/MV consultancy sector.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in estimating and quantity surveying, with a strong background in managing complex projects and leading high-performing teams.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Reviewing project documentation and tender documents;
* Taking off projects and preparing subcontract and material packages;
* Selecting subcontract and material suppliers;
* Ensuring tendering processes are fully implemented;
* Pricing up estimates and answering queries from subcontractors/suppliers;
* Liaising with clients during the tender process;
* Appraising sub-contractor quotations and pricing up prelims;
* Completing forms of tender and ensuring final tender information is logged;
* Briefing the construction team on tender bids and developing client/specifier relationships;
* Attending post-tender negotiations with clients and undertaking cost planning;
Requirements
We require candidates with 3+ years experience in Estimating/QS, preferably in MV/HV organisation.
A minimum of a Level 7 degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is necessary.
Candidates must have excellent project management skills, strong Microsoft Office package skills, and strong organisational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
This is a full-time permanent role with 39 working hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:30am-5pm and Friday 8:30am-4pm.
