About the Role
We are looking to hire a Full‑Time Care Assistant/Support Worker for our day services in Lucan, Dublin West. The Day Supports team works towards a New Directions model of service delivery, providing tailored support in local communities. The role supports and promotes the development of independent living skills, education, employment possibilities, and social and leisure activities for adults with autism.
Key responsibilities include:
 * Providing personal and intimate care in a respectful, dignified manner
 * Supporting individuals to progress at their own pace and meet their goals
 * Collaborating with Practitioners to develop independent living skills and life plans
 * Maintaining accurate records and contributing to quality improvement initiatives
Essential Qualifications
 * FETAC Level 5 Qualification in Social Care, or qualifications in Health or Social Science
Essential Criteria
 * Excellent communication and engagement skills
 * At least one year of recent relevant experience
 * Ability to promote independence where applicable
 * Thorough understanding of the New Directions model
Desirable Criteria
 * Experience supporting individuals with ASD and knowledge of autism
 * Experience in case management and creating pathways to education, employment, and housing
 * Awareness of mental health, homelessness, addiction, and social disadvantage in an Irish context
 * Full, clean driver’s licence and access to your own car for travel to various locations

 * Patience, encouraging, non‑judgemental, supportive, open‑minded, innovative, flexible, good listening skills, and understanding
