We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Manager - ICU to join our team at our hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
Main Responsibilities
* Act as a temporary replacement for the CNM2/Clinical Coordinator when necessary.
* Report incidents promptly and contribute to quality management incident reporting initiatives.
* Identify potential electrical, chemical, and transportation hazards within the department and implement preventative measures.
* Maintain equipment safety and report any issues to the clinical coordinator or designee.
* Collaborate in the process of Joint Commissioning Accreditation (JCI).
* Assist in preparing the hospital for the JCI survey.
* Provide senior nurse support and guidance in the intensive care unit.
* Foster effective interprofessional collaboration to enhance staff training, patient care, and overall support.
Key Requirements
* Registered General Nurse registration with NMBI.
* A bachelor's degree in nursing; postgraduate qualifications in critical care are advantageous.
* Preceptorship experience; ACLS certification is desired and essential.
* No less than five years of cardiothoracic or surgical intensive care unit experience, with evidence of a positive impact on critical care.
* Experience as a preceptor for students enrolled in adult critical care courses.
