The Role:
We are seeking a HV Electrical Engineer to join the site team supporting a high-profile pharmaceutical project in Limerick. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of high-voltage electrical systems, from installation and commissioning to ongoing maintenance, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance at all times.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of HV equipment, including switchgear, transformers, and protection relays
* Develop and manage HV switching plans and safety procedures
* Support routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair to maximise system uptime
* Ensure compliance with electrical safety and regulatory standards within a pharmaceutical environment
* Work closely with the client and internal engineering teams to deliver technically sound and efficient solutions
* Promote continuous improvement and contribute to safety and operational excellence initiatives
Requirements:
* Degree (Level 7 or above) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
* Minimum 3 years' experience working on HV/MV systems in an industrial or regulated setting
* Strong technical understanding of HV systems, ATEX, and DC power infrastructure
* Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical control systems and producing accurate documentation
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Package:
* Salary circa €85,000 - €90,000 - DOE
