Electrical Design Engineer - Data Centre Expertise
We are seeking an accomplished electrical design engineer with extensive consultancy experience to lead our MEP team on large-scale data centre projects.
* Develop and implement LV electrical systems, including distribution boards and switchgear
* Design and coordinate UPS systems and battery solutions
* Coordinate with HV contractors/vendors for diesel generator interface design
* Design power factor correction, surge protection, earthing, and bonding systems
* Create layouts for general lighting, emergency lighting, and external lighting
* Implement small power and ELV systems, such as access control and CCTV
The successful candidate will oversee Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), load schedules, containment, and cable routing. A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of 6 years' experience in an electrical design consultancy, specifically in data centres or critical infrastructure projects. Proficiency in LV power distribution, UPS/generator topologies, and electrical design tools is essential.
