Scope
Working with the CHB Lead, the Co-ordinators will be responsible for day-to-day Customs clearance activity. Responsible for the processing of customs entries ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations and AEO. Ensuring timely Customs Clearance of shipments and providing the required information flow.

Working with the CHB Lead, the Co-ordinators will be responsible for day-to-day Customs clearance activity. Responsible for the processing of customs entries ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations and AEO. Ensuring timely Customs Clearance of shipments and providing the required information flow.
Responsibilities
* Support the CHB Lead in the supervision of the Customs department
* Process Ocean, Air and Road declarations / Imports and Exports
* Ensure complete and accurate customs entry data and transmit to Revenue system.
* Knowledge of international tariff coding and classification procedure.
* Ensure correct preference is applied to goods and that any relevant customs procedures and regimes such as IPR, OPR and CFSP are applied where necessary
* Complete MRN and arrange for payment to be sent to Port Health where necessary
* Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency
* Liaise with customers regarding valuation, classification and origin issues where necessary taking into account AEO regulations
* Attend Customer meetings when appropriate
* Provide required information and reporting to customers & operations in line with SOP
Other Responsibilities
* Working with CHB colleagues to allocate workloads with team to ensure smooth operations
* Ensure sufficient cover within the department at all times
* Escalate issues to Supervisor / Manager
* Support Supervisor/Manager where needed
* Contribute to department meetings when required

Qualifications
Qualifications / Experience
* Required: 2 years ' experience in EU regulatory framework for Importing / exporting
* Minimum 5 years general or customs import/export experience
* Knowledge of Descartes system
* Knowledge of Customs system Sequoia
