Roles and Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To take day-to-day responsibility for children and staff & to ensure high standards of care in the centre & ensure an excellent standard of hygiene in the centre
2. To develop and implement curricula in line with Aistear and Siolta
3. Attend meetings and undertake training as required
4. Revise policies and procedures as required
5. Adhere to the Child Protection Policy of the centre and report any concerns
6. Maintain all records required by Pobal, Tusla, and HSE and represent the service during Pobal, Tusla, and HSE inspections.
7. Network with appropriate statutory and voluntary agencies
8. To offer leadership and encouragement to staff and coordinate inductions, appraisals, and training.
9. Be able to take charge and direct children and staff in case of an emergency
10. Maintain strict confidentiality and be able to communicate effectively with directors and senior staff
The successful candidate must have
PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS
11. Preferred Education Bachelors level 7 or higher in Early Years Childcare and Education
12. Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisors role with the ability to lead a team
13. Minimum 5 years experience in Childcare and Education
14. Kindness, warmth and responsiveness to the needs of the children
15. Excellent communication and relating skills with children, staff, and parents
16. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
17. First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Safety and Childrens first.
18. Have demonstrated a positive & energetic approach to the team.
19. Ideally, a clean driving license
