Infrastructure Project Manager
Contract Details

Key Responsibilities:
* Preferential experience in the financial/insurance sectors.
* Create roadmap/phases for the technology platform to address specific challenges or risks, taking account of production stability, information security, software upgrades and patching, and regulatory obligations.
* Responsible for infrastructure delivery (hardware, software, and supporting operational processes).
* Apply professional project management disciplines, processes, and tools.
* Lead or participate in the design of hardware infrastructure solutions, associated operational processes, and provisioning of software environments.
* Cross-train relevant infrastructure areas in new technologies introduced.
* In conjunction with enterprise architects, identify and recommend industry best practices, including cost-benefit analysis and estimates for proposed solutions.
* Maintain knowledge of IT Infrastructure architecture, standards, and practices, consistently applying these standards, including prototype solutions to verify capabilities for new system maintenance and upgrades.
* Manage communications to ensure issues and risks are controlled effectively and understood by stakeholders.
* Define all resource requirements (services, people, hardware, and software).
* Manage and report on project budgets.
* Adhere to technical (quality) governance standards in the delivery of projects.
* Effectively lead project teams both on and offshore.
Experience Requirements:
* Minimum of five years of project management in implementing enterprise infrastructure and technology solutions.
* Strong understanding of IT technical infrastructure and software development (digital) technologies, with experience in managing IT projects and budgets.
* Experience in managing technical infrastructure projects from a budget management and technical delivery perspective.
* Experience in Financial or Insurance industries.
* Broad technical knowledge base with a focus on strategic technologies.
* Manage third-party technical suppliers for project delivery.
* Good knowledge and understanding of IT technologies.
* Commitment to following formal project management disciplines.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Able to deal with both technical and business stakeholders.
* Facilitation and negotiation skills.
* Analytical ability and aptitude for attention to detail.
* Experience leading projects in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies an advantage.
